Last Friday, The 12th annul IEP Conference was held on February 27th, 2015 at lower ground of the Metro Toronto Convention. IEP Conference is one of the most innovative and respectful events for Educated Professional Newcomers seeking practical effective career advice. Basically it give opportunities to build networking and gather information from one place.
Unfortunately, I could not attend this workshop due to the sickness of my daughter. However, I asked my friend Manal about it. She told me that in the morning she started for the field trip from DonMills subway station with her friend and reached the IEP conference at 10 am.
She attended 2 programs. The first one is "Health Care and Communication". The second session was on "Finance and Accounting". Every program was for half an hour. Here she met an insurance professional named Trevor Bttrun who worked for the Insurance Institute of Canada MBA. He told her about the importance of communication, self confidence and organization skills. These are essential soft skills.
At 12 pm she met all other classmates to take a group picture and went for lunch together. She had Chicken and Tuna sandwiches for lunch. The overall experience was very informative for her. She was very happy to have an opportunity to attend this event.
